PT DI Send NC 212i to Thailand

BANDUNG, suaramerdeka.com-PT Dirgantara Indonesia delivers one of two aircraft type NC-212i Thailand orders, Tuesday (22/10).

The aircraft will be used by the local Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC). Among them for the artificial rain process.

According to the Jubir PT DI, Adi Prastowo, the order was held in mid-March 2017.  "The remaining one of the other aircraft is planned to be handed off by the end of this year," he said in the caption received.

The delivery of the aircraft was done by ferry flight Bandung-Nakhon Sawan Air Base, Muang, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand for 2 days.
Acting as a pilot in Conmand was Capt. Esther Gayatri Saleh and Capt. Ervan Gustanto.

Described, the aircraft submitted was fully undertaken by PT DI. They become the only aircraft industry in the world that currently manufactures NC212i aircraft.
 "PT DI itself has managed to produce NC212 aircraft as much as 114 units for domestic and overseas, from a total of 585 units of NC212 series aircraft population in the world," he explained.

Domestic operators using NC212 series include TNI AU, TNI AD, TNI AL, police, and BPPT. Most of these aircraft were used for civilian transport aircraft, the military and Maritime Surveillance Aircraft (MSA).
 
For overseas operators is the country of Thailand used as a military transport aircraft and weather modification (rain making), then the Philippines and Vietnam for military transport aircraft. Thailand only, the country is the largest user as many as 8 units.

By the prospect, the propeller type aircraft has a considerable market share. The need for NC212i aircraft in the world for the next 10 years is estimated at 255 units. An expansion plan for PT in the fore is Asia Pacific and Africa market.

"For that, we will increase the production capacity of NC212i aircraft that originally 4 aircraft per year, to 6 planes per year, which will begin next year to meet the target needs of NC212i over the next 10 years, " he explained.

The NC212i is a multipurpose aircraft and the latest generation of NC212 with a capacity of 28 passengers. The aircraft was equipped with a ramp door, a spacious cabin in its class, a more modern navigation and communication system, and lower operating costs but remained competitive in the small aircraft market.
