The aircraft will be used by the local Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC). Among them for the artificial rain process.

Domestic operators using NC212 series include TNI AU, TNI AD, TNI AL, police, and BPPT. Most of these aircraft were used for civilian transport aircraft, the military and Maritime Surveillance Aircraft (MSA).
For overseas operators is the country of Thailand used as a military transport aircraft and weather modification (rain making), then the Philippines and Vietnam for military transport aircraft. Thailand only, the country is the largest user as many as 8 units.
By the prospect, the propeller type aircraft has a considerable market share. The need for NC212i aircraft in the world for the next 10 years is estimated at 255 units. An expansion plan for PT in the fore is Asia Pacific and Africa market.
"For that, we will increase the production capacity of NC212i aircraft that originally 4 aircraft per year, to 6 planes per year, which will begin next year to meet the target needs of NC212i over the next 10 years, " he explained.
The NC212i is a multipurpose aircraft and the latest generation of NC212 with a capacity of 28 passengers. The aircraft was equipped with a ramp door, a spacious cabin in its class, a more modern navigation and communication system, and lower operating costs but remained competitive in the small aircraft market.
